Put Blog Post Excerpts on Front Static Page In the Lifestyle Theme

Hi, I hope you all are doing well this day and those to come. I would like to know if anyone could instruct me about how to change the full blog posts on my home static page to say 5 excerpts of specific blog post that I select. I am using the Lifestyle Pro theme with a child theme. Can any body help? Your help will be truly appreciated. 😉 The website in question if you want to take a look is "http://onlinebusinesssystems-diyim.com"

To change from full blog posts to post excerpts, go to Dashboard > Genesis > Theme Settings > Content Archives > set to display post excerpts.

To display just specific posts, there are probably a number of ways to do this, but I think the most simple to implement would be to use the theme the way it is designed - don't display a static page. Instead, add featured posts to your home page widgets.

If you don't want to use the home page widgets, you can assign a specific category to those posts you would like to display on the home page using the blog layout, and then, following this tutorial by Brian Gardner, set your home page to exclude specific categories (link)
