Prose Theme Mobile View

I'm creating a new blog using the Prose theme and am having an awful time with the mobile responsive view.  On my iPad it makes everything look choppy and unprofessional.  The header is cut off on the right side.  The header right widget does not stay on the header but appears below it, making it look like a pieced together graphic instead of one image.  The menu is two lines instead of one.  It enlarges some of my widget images while retaining the original size of others.

Is there a way to customize the mobile view on Prose?  And, if not, should I disable it and try another mobile plugin?   And, if I am to disable it, how do I do that?  Thoughts?

If you want to turn off the mobile-responsive code in Prose, try adding this snippet to Genesis --> Custom Code --> Custom Functions:
/*Remove mobile-responsive code*/
remove_action( 'genesis_meta', 'prose_add_viewport_meta_tag' );
Customizing the mobile view can be done by adding custom CSS, but that's a big can of worms. I know there are plenty of plugins that claim to make sites mobile friendly, but I haven't used them myself. WPTouch is one I hear about frequently.

Okay, it worked on my test site by not once I went live.  Ugh.  Any other ideas?

One idea might be to use Nick the Geek's Genesis Responsive Header plugin to specify smaller header images (maybe without the social media flower widget) for smaller screens.

Thanks for the tip.  I'll check it out.  I really did like the WP Touch layout though.  So clean and adaptable.  Aw well.
