MemberHello Everyone,
I recently started using Genesis with the Prose child theme. Currently the Prose child theme allows for featured images, but they display on the home page only, not within the individual blog page. For example, you will see a featured image on the left of a blog post "excerpt/teaser" but when you click read more and go to the full individual blog post, there is no featured image display.
If I insert the image into the post in addition to setting it as a featured image, it shows up in duplicate on the home page. One to the left framed with the grey border (featured image) and one in the middle unframed (inserted image).
Studiopress support recommended posting here because changing this involves modifying the child theme.
Is there a way to either:
a) set up my theme so that inserted images do not show on the home page (thus avoiding duplicate images - I would then set the featured image and insert the image)
or
b) set up my theme so that featured images are automatically centered at the top of the individual blog post?
Thanks in advance if anyone can help. My blog is: joyinthemidstof.com

MemberThis code snippet may accomplish your #1:

Because you're using Prose, you'll need to paste the code into Genesis --> Custom Code --> Custom PHP (NOT the functions.php file as the tutorial suggests).
It appeared to work on my test site. Let us know if it works -- I'd love to have a solution for this, because other forum users have posted the same question in the past.
I love WordPress, Genesis, and the Prose child theme (my complete guide to using Prose is here: SiteSetupKit.com). Say hi on Twitter: @wendycholbi

MemberHi Wendy,
Thank you VERY much. This solution appears to have done exactly what I had hoped.
I put the code in my Custom Functions section. (This is a very nice feature of prose, especially because I have zero coding experience - I am much less likely to break something in my theme!)
I had to go back into the post and insert the images into the center of the blog post. They do not show up on the main home page, but when I click through the read more link to the single blog post page they show up there exactly as instructed. The images do not display the nice "featured image" border/frame within the individual blog post page, but I don' t mind that.
When searching through the forum I noticed this topic mentioned, but it did not appear that a solution had been found. Hopefully this will help others as well.
Thank you so much, Wendy!
