I set up a dev site and have just switched it to the domain hosting. However, I'm having issues with forcing http://50.116.64.157/~calcasp/wp-content/themes/education/images/bg.png (which has the IP in the url) to http://www.calcasp.com/wp-content/themes/education/images/bg.png

I've run a search and replace using a plugin. It says it replaced the url to the new one, I'm still having an incredible slow load time on the site and tools.pingdom.com shows http://50.116.64.157/~calcasp/wp-content/themes/education/images/bg.png is still being referenced and not http://www.calcasp.com/wp-content/themes/education/images/bg.png

How can I fix this? I'm wanting the site to load quickly for the client.

Have you tried going to Appearance > Background, removing the existing image and re-uploading the same?
