    Aloha - my site is http://www.burnettsboards.com and I have a slimmer header image I uploaded to /images as head.png and deleted the original. It shows up, however I cannot get the height of the header to reduce. I changed it from 240 on the style sheet to 168 and it refuses to budge. Is there somewhere else I need to change things in order to shrink the header height and move the rest of the blog up?

    Sorry - I uploaded it as header.png, not head.png

    In your functions.php file there's code which looks like this:

    // Add support for custom header
    add_theme_support( 'genesis-custom-header', array(
    	'flex-height'	=> true,
    	'height'		=> 188,
    	'width'			=> 323
    ) );

    There's also 2 values in your style sheet which can be changed. Looks like you changed one already.

    So I just change the numbers in the functions php AND on the style sheet to the height of the new header?

    That's right but make sure you don't change anything else in the PHP code.

    Do you have a header link under Appearance? You should upload it there and then clear your browser cache.

    Yes I did all that but it hasn't moved the blog content up at all - it remains where it is but with a slimmer header

    What is the second value in the style sheet that needed changing other than in */ header  - height?

    Just FYI - I've figured this out. no changes to the functions file were needed, just CSS under header and then again under partial with header image.

    mahalo and thanks for your help!
