    Hello all,

Thank you in advance for your help.

I just moved a site to Studio Press using the Metro Theme. My previous site allowed me to indicate (no idea how) how much of the post showed on the homepage, in a category, and a tag. Then the full post was available on the post page itself. My site is https://everydayhomesteading.com

I figured out how to accomplish this on the homepage. Love it!

How do I have the category and tag pages do the same as the homepage where I can indicate home much of the post shows?

    Thank you
    Jan

Thank you I appreciate your help.

I hate to ask, but this isn't quite working like I wanted.
Is there a way to only have only the image and title, and 2 columns or more wide?

The closest I can get it to just the picture is having entry content with 1 character, but it looks funny. Plus the comment button and social media buttons are still there.

I don't care if the author, tags, and categories show.

    Thank you again.

Yes. and there are several ways to do this.

    You need a custom template.

If you are comfortable with coding, you can create one yourself which removes the content and only displays the title and featured image.

You can also display each entry in 2 or more columns.

Are you referring to your front page, archive page or another type of page? Please link to the page you want to modify.

I'm not understanding the archive page, or custom template. I didn't know we could create custom templates in WP. I've always used plugins, css, hooks, and had a setting within the framework or theme to make the post, category, and tag pages with titles, images and links in a 3 or 4 column design.

ie this is the url for a category.

Specifically, which archive type are you wanting to modify?

And specifically, what don you want to modify in the loop for that archive?

I really appreciate your help, but I am not understanding the terminology of archive type and modify loop etc.

Please consider this resolved until I figure out the terminology in WP genesis.

    Thank you
