Setting up a site on a test server for my wife at using the Jane theme.

When I enable the content archives to show on the main page with a thumbnail image like this, it strips the post image from the post which now no longer shows at the top.

I want it to show the teaser content with thumbnail on the main page and show the post image at the top of the post (like it does before I enable the content archives).

    Any thoughts?

Are you saying that your wife's posts have images inserted into them (in addition to having a featured image?)

A featured image will show in the content archives excerpt on the main page, but will not show when viewing the full post. In order to display images in the full posts, you need to insert an image into the post itself.

(As seen on my demo of Jane here: http://www.jane.graphicallydesigning.com)

If you are inserting images into the post, and they are being stripped out, I recommend deactivating all plugins to see if that resolves the issue.

If it doesn't, go ahead and submit a support ticket here: http://prettydarncute.com/submit-a-support-ticket/ and I will pick it up.

    Susan:

Thank you for replying. Somehow I missed the email notification when this came over so forgive the delayed response.

You described the issue correctly. Featured image is not showing in post and now I realize that I guess it isn't supposed to in Genesis, which seems odd.

We just migrated the site from Thesis and Thesis has the ability to select a Post Image that displays in post as the post image and I wrongfully assumed that's also what a Featured Image was in Genesis.
