    Greetings:

I'm using the Minimum Pro theme for the front end of a small ecommerce site. One of the things I'm uncertain about is ideal image size given that this is a responsive theme and that we'd like to provide the desktop user with a large product image and the mobile user the option of seeing a large product image as well.

I've read that we can use CSS to determine which size image is presented to the the user. While I'm tempted to try this, I wanted to consider a few other options.

First, if we insert an image within a post using the standard WordPress media option, there are choices such as:
Link To Media Files, Attachment page, custom URL or none. If we used the media files choice, we could have a smaller image on the page with the option of clicking for larger view. For example we could create a default 400 X 400 image as well as a larger 800 X 800 image. Trying this, I can't say its the user friendly.

Second, another choice would be to use a plugin. I'm familiar with Nex Gen, but I always though it more suited for galleries and its somewhat bloated. Searching the WordPress directory I founds a few possible choices.

If anyone would care to make some suggestions such as a plugin or using the media settings, I would love to hear them.

    Thanks

    Tim
