I display one full-length post on each page, starting with the homepage. You click the pagination at the bottom, and it takes you to the next full-length blog post.

But for my archives page and the category page for each category, I only want to show excerpts.

Genesis seems to have a built-in way to create custom archive pages, but I think it requires that you select post excerpts in the Genesis section of the WordPress dashboard. This changes all blog posts to excerpts, including the homepage.

My site hasn't launched yet. Do you have suggestions on how to do this? Thank you!!

    Hi there!

I am looking for this exact same thing - for my blog to be "normal" on all pages, except in the Category Archives pages, if they can be excerpts.

I tried checking it in the Genesis Theme Settings, but when I click "show excerpts", it also shows it on the homepage.

I'm using the Wintersong Pro theme.

Any ideas on how I can show excerpts on Category Archive pages?

    Thank you!
