    Hello, for some reason, where there are no comments yet for a blog post on this site: http://www.libbywilkiedesigns.com, there is no "Leave a Comment" text appearing next to the date and author byline. I am just using the Sample Child theme and haven't done any customizations to this section outside of adding a colored background. I did add the following code snippet:
    //* Modify the comment link text in comments
    add_filter( 'genesis_post_info', 'sp_post_info_filter' );
    function sp_post_info_filter( $post_info ) {
    return '[post_comments zero="Leave a Comment" one="1 Comment" more="% Comments"]';
    }

    to see if that helped or hurt things and it seemed to do nothing. So, as it is right now, there is nowhere for a reader to post a comment. Additionally, if you go to the actual post page for the latest post, there is no comment area below the post:

    Help appreciated!

    Go to that post. Look in the Discussion area and make sure that there is a check mark in the box to allow comments.

    Thank you for the response. I actually don't see the Discussion area in the post editor? I know about the general Discussion settings on the dashboard, do you mean a setting in the actual post editor? I see the publish box, categories, tags, featured image etc. but no area to enable or disable posts.

    Go to the post, click the Screen Options tab at the very top, look for discussion.

    Thanks anitac, got that, and I do have comments enabled now on the post, the comment area still does not seem to be appearing. It looks like in a new post draft that was created, when you preview it at least, that the Leave a Comment link is there, could it possibly be that some link or something in the post itself would cause this problem?

    That post could be corrupt. Can you copy and paste that content into a new blog entry as a test to see if it will show up?

    I did that and it actually seems to work okay at least in preview, the comments link is there, so who knows, I published a test post privately and the comments link did show up, so I am going to go ahead and mark as resolved, thank you so very much for your help, it is much appreciated.
