I want to figure out how to use the portfolio function on the front page ala v1.0 because it works for my style and content flow.
    example here : http://blog.longrunpictures.com

You'd need to add a sidebar to home.php to place the featured widget into. You can examine the home.php and the corresponding style rules from 1.0 for an example

Works a treat now...did what I thought would work. Can I post the code I used in home.php and functions.php or is it too soon for that?

    Thank you

I was going to copy and paste the code but made a different design decision- gonna stick with the 4 feature widgets fior now- thank you for your patience
