I'm working on a client site at http://www.cbboca.com/ and I'd love to pull the recent 4 portfolio items into the 4 home page widgets (the Min Pro demo has social icons in these spots) and use the title and featured image of each potfolio item.

I noticed the Featured Post or Featured Page widgets built into Genesis don't work for this.

    Any thoughts?

I hard coded images and text into these as you can see on the page, but it's not dynamic, and if you look at it on mobile phone the responsiveness isn't good.

    Any ideas?

    Try this plugin http://wordpress.org/plugins/genesis-featured-widget-amplified/

    Or the code https://gist.github.com/GaryJones/48025d95b53d09140d46

On a similar note, any way to add some <div> codes around the widgets in the same spots on this page in order to not break the responsiveness? http://www.valleyfarmsandland.com/

    It looks terrible on iPhone.

You can use each widget i.d in the media queries for this.

You'd probably want to move 3 and 4 to a new line at a specific width and then make them all 100% on an iPhone.
