    Hi

    I am trying to make changes to pictures on verasnetwork.com using lifestyle pro and it is driving me mad.

    For Example: On the home page under Who Is Vera I wanted to change the size but it cut the size even though I didn't want it to. I want to make it smaller so the text fits more cleanly. It is so hit and miss that I am really quite confused. The edit doesn't seem effective. I wonder if I edit all the pictures to the sizes I want before uploading them will work better?

    I then want to move the picture and text nearer the title but again that seems to be difficult too.

    Is there some online tuition that would help me understand my CSS a lot more?

    All Help really appreciated.

    Hi,

    because you are using the featured page widget, changing the image sizes has not much to do with css but with adding a smaller image size in PHP.

    Lifestyle Pro defines its custom image sizes in functions.php around line 35.
    You can add a new image size, e.g.
    add_image_size( 'home-xsmall', 200, 100, TRUE );

    Then you have to install a plugin like Regenerate Thumbnails to create the new image size for existing pictures (WordPress will create the size automatically for all new pictures)

    Finally, you have to select the new image size in the Featured Page widget.

    Wow you really are helpful. I will try this out and work through the course links you sent which will hopefully reduce my frustrations. You are amazing and what a world we would have if we could all hep each other.

    Thanks awfully.

    One more thing? How did I manage to get the robot size to work but couldn't do the same with the training picture? Will it work if I edit the picture before I upload them?

    Funny enough, I actually just wrote a post about this, a few days ago: https://www.quora.com/Can-you-use-the-Genesis-framework-without-coding/answer/Luna-LunapienaQuora - Can you use the Genesis framework without coding?
