I am using the Parallax Pro theme on this site.
After I made a few changes (added 2 new sections to the home page and renamed the theme) at some point i noticed that I no longer see the primary menu.
I have hunted to figure out why it's not showing...but can't seem to put my finger on it.
Thanks in advance for any help!May 29, 2015 at 9:46 am #154116
Site looks great. So colorful.
What is the location you selected for your Primary Nav menu?
Appearances - > Menu -> Manage Locations

I have it set to show as both the primaray (at the top) and secondary (at the bottom) locationsMay 29, 2015 at 9:51 am #154122
Next I would check your front-page.php and your functions.php to see if you've removed or relocated the primary nav.

you've also got some missing file errors when I run inspect element in the browser.

I checked the primary nav...it's still where it should be and I fixed the 404...nothing.
any other thoughts?May 29, 2015 at 10:29 am #154131
The front page does not have any primary navigation html output, so that means something in the code is preventing it from generating.
I would compare the original Parallax pro theme front-page.php and functions.php to your modified code. The menu is showing on other pages as seen here:
so it must be specific to the homepage.
check front-page.php file and functions.php carefully against originals.

OK...going crazy here! I just installed the ORIGINAL unedited Parallax Pro theme and the menu still does not show up??May 29, 2015 at 11:23 am #154140
Ah. Looks like the demo puts the primary nav in the Header Right Widget area - using a Custom Menu widget.
Try that and don't assign the primary menu to any location.

thank YOU, Jackie-- I don't know why I didn't think to look back at the theme directions!....I used this theme about 7 months ago for another client...but didn't remember that's where I put the menu!May 29, 2015 at 12:22 pm #154147July 26, 2015 at 9:19 am #160497kmmackeyMember
