I am using Parallax Pro. If I go to Appearance > Widgets > and add a Text Widget to one of the Home Sections. Once I've entered the Content in the Text Widget, I go to the bottom of the Widget & click on Show > Page > is _____ - I pick a random Page I want the Widget to show on. But it only works for the Home page. Is their an option to us it on any page like this?http://jblbinsurance.com
The homepage widgets will only display on the homepage. If you wanted to use a widget area across the entire site or on a specific page, you'd need to edit your functions.php file to register and hook in a new widget area.
Hmmm, the functions page sounds dangerous for a newbie.... 🙂 Thanks for your help!
Brandon - the functions.php file can sound dangerous for a newbie, but as long as you know how to restore your site if you crash it (replacing the functions.php file in your hosting site via cPanel or FTP), it will open up so many possibilities, and you won't be a newbie any longer 🙂
(I regularly crash my test sites when I am "experimenting")
I'll keep experimenting & learning. Thanks Susan!
