    On the website in question: The homepage menu has a BLOG menu item that directs people to the category "Blog" with the intention to show just the title, image, and short excerpt of the posts.

    At the moment the full content of the posts shows.

    How to get only the title, small excerpt, and featured image to show. Don't want the full content to show.

    Only want 5 blog posts to show at a time.

    I know how to do this with widgets, but somehow the menu is not doing this for the blog menu item.

    How to correct?

    Hi,

    I'm not sure what you mean by

    somehow the menu is not doing this for the blog menu item.

    Also not sure why blog should be a category but you probably have your reasons.

    To only show excerpts on archives go to
    Genesis - Theme Settings - Content Archives and change Entry Content to Entry Excerpt.
