Paragraph Spacing in Jane Theme

I'm trying to reduce the spacing between paragraph line breaks. I've edited the CSS using several different recommended methods, but none of them have worked. I'm using the Jane theme, so perhaps the CSS coding is different. Any ideas?

}

with this

    margin-bottom: 16px;
    margin-bottom: 1.6rem;
}
