Hey All,
I would really appreciate it if someone could provide me with the code to add an extra widget to the Outreach Pro theme right below the home-bottom widgets.
I just want this widget to show up on the Home page, and I will use it to display text content on the Home page.
I'm a novice, but I can follow instructions.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I found that article already... and several others, which I'm sure would work if I knew exactly what information to take from it.
I have no coding experience, so instead of spending hours trying to decipher this stuff, I was just hoping someone had this code handy and I could slap it right in there... and mission accomplished.
I appreciate you pointing me in the right direction though.

Or, does anyone have the code handy? I just need to add a text content area below the home-bottom widgets on Outreach Pro.
Thanks,

What you need to do is create a new widget in the front-page.php template file or hook it in from your functions file.
Another option would be to add the widget to the home bottom widget area. No need to code another widget.

Andrea actually assisted me last night and we got it taken care of. She was AWESOME!
Ya know, after searching around for hours, it seems that there is a lot of information on how to add the widgets to the older themes, but there is limited info on how to do it with all the new HTML 5 themes.
I'm not a coder, but still can make some code changes here and there if it's spelled out for the layman. If there was a nice, clean post, laying out all the steps to adding widgets (with some conditional stuff like Home page only), I'm sure that a lot of people would benefit tremendously. Well, at least I would 😉
Curious though... what do you mean by just adding the widget to the home-bottom? There are already 4 rows of widgets there. How would I dictate where the widget would show up? Top of those 4... bottom... what size would it be? Etc.
Thanks for your assistance, I look forward to your reply.

You can simply add 8 widgets to the one widget area.
