I need to add a text widget or home-cta to this Outreach Pro homepage below the featured posts (above footer).
Could someone direct me to a tutorial or directions on how to do this?

    Much appreciated,
    Marcia

Try this Add widget in StudioPress

Use the genesis_before_footer hook in replace of the genesis_after_header hook.

    Brad,

Many thanks for this. Widget is there, but text doesn't show up. Is there css to add?

Nope. 2 parts to the PHP. One to register the widget and the other to call it.

Brad, yes ... I didn't see it originally as it is BELOW the footer as you can see here:

    HOME

How should I change that in functions?

    Many thanks,
    Marcia

All you need to is change the hook position http://wpsites.net/genesis-hooks/

    Try genesis_after_content_sidebar_wrap
