    I am using the Outreach Pro child theme. The Genesis Responsive Slider was working fine! I installed Genesis Simple Hooks . I did not configure Genesis simple Hooks, just simply installed it. After it was installed, the Responsive slider disappeared. I de-activated Genesis simple Hooks and the slider came back. I repeated a few times with same result. I uninstalled and then reinstalled Genesis Simple Hooks and again, the slider disappeared.

    Well in that case I wouldn't use Genesis simple hooks 🙂

    Ok, but how do I unhook genesis_do_footer() function without Simple Hooks?

    Hello Jamie,

    You could use the Genesis extender plug-in to unhook the function. This is a premium product though, so you might want to try this freebie https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/blox-lite/ or perhaps ask support for help.

    Sorry I can't help out anymore than this as I'm a newcomer myself and still finding my feet, but hey, I don't expect you to buy me a cup of coffee either

    If you find out the nature of the problem, be sure to write back though please, as I'm curious what could cause this

    Any action can be unhooked by adding a remove_action statement in functions.php. add_action and remove_action are WordPress functions, not Genesis.

    Besides, I've used Genesis Simple Hooks on all of my sites, including Outreach Pro with the Responsive Slider. There has never been a conflict. You probably have something else going on.

    Thank you for responding! I too have used Simple Hooks and Responsive Slider of dozens of sites...including the Outreach Pro theme....that's why it's mystifying why its happening now.

    Thank you for responding. I went ahead and used .css to remove the .site-footer from appearing. I set the font-size to: 0px.
