I have setup the default home page of Outreach http://www.roger-the-magician.co.uk with a slider and everything and it is starting to look good.

However I am confused about the SEO elements of this page. I am comfortable with SEO on pages and posts, but I am not sure what the default home page actually is as it appears to be neither.

If I make it a static post, I can't see how to add in the slider and all the widgets?

Can anyone advise?

Goto Widgets area and add required type of widgets in primary & secondary sidebar and other widget areas. Also make sure you change permalink structure as your current setting is not seo friendly.
