    Hi, I'm trying to find out how to change the opacity of the slider excerpt box on the Backcountry child theme. I'm no CSS expert, but can't find an option in my theme code files. The closest I've found is this (below) and it doesn't look like it gives me a setting/option. With everything Genesis can do and the child theme options, I can't believe this isn't something I can tweak.

    Thanks.

    /* Genesis Slider
    ------------------------------------------------------------ */

    .backcountry #genesis-slider {
    border: 1px solid #ddd;
    margin: 0 auto 20px;
    padding: 9px;
    }

    .backcountry #genesis-slider p {
    color: #fff;
    font-size: 12px;
    line-height: 20px;
    }

    .backcountry .slide-excerpt {
    background-color: #000;
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0px 3px;
    }

    html > body.backcountry .slide-excerpt-border {
    border: none;
    padding: 0;
    }

    Try adding one of these declarations to your slider images or slider classes http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_image_transparency.asp

    Try going into the CSS of the slider itself, rather than the theme's stylesheet.

    Look for this:

    .slide-excerpt {
    	background-color: #fff;
    	filter: alpha(opacity=80);
    	display: block;
    	margin: 10px;
    	opacity: 0.8;
    	padding: 0;
    	position: absolute;
    	z-index: 8;
    }

    Thank you. I'll try these suggestions.

    I tried Susan's suggestion, but it appears that the Opacity of Slider Excerpt is somehow tied to the background of the theme. When I had tried the slider on the Outreach theme with a black background, the excerpt was 80% dark with white letters. However, when I had deleted the background (changed it to white), the excerpt changed to white with black (theme text color)!

    I would like to have a dark excerpt area using the Enterprise Pro theme because my images are dark. See ladyofwheat.com.
