A few days ago someone was kind enough to help me get the easing slider on my site that's using the bee crafty theme. My client now wants to use the Nivo slider. I did a search and got some code but the code isn't working. I want the Nivo slider on my homepage. This is the Nivo Slider code I was using that didn't work:
function gen_insert_home_nivo_slider() { if (is_home()) { if (function_exists('nivoslider4wp_show')) { nivoslider4wp_show(); } } } add_action('genesis_before_loop', 'gen_insert_home_nivo_slider');
This is the easing slider code that works:
add_action('genesis_before_loop', 'display_slider_before_posts_home'); function display_slider_before_posts_home() { if (is_home() && function_exists('easingsliderpro') ) { easingsliderpro( 1 ); } }
The site in question is http://chocolatemakingfun.com
Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your help -again. Much appreciated. I think I figured out the issue but I don't know how to fix it. When I look at my pages in the WP dashboard I see a page called "HOME", but the page slug is "home-2". I may have duplicated the homepage for some reason a few months ago and forgotten about it. If I view home-2 I can see the slider.
Of course, I want it to show up on the sites real homepage, but I don't see that page anywhere in my WP dashboard. I tried deleting home-2 to see if the slider would appear on the main homepage but that didn't work.

You'll need to fix the duplicate page slug by permanently deleting it.
This code should work regardless of whether you use the default home page or a static page as your home page.

Thanks for your patience with this. I deleted the page named "home-2". I don't see my actual homepage anywhere in the pages listing in my WP dashboard. It's not listed in my menu section of the dashboard, either. I think the theme creates the link automatically for the nav menu.I tried the first code you sent and got this error message:
I want to try the second code you sent but I don't know the page id of my homepage because I can't find it in the pages section of my WP dashboard.

Your home page is included in your files. Its not listed as a page template. When you select Front page displays Your latest posts from the reading settings and populate your home widgets, it works.
As for the slider code, i can only go on what you have provided which is the function i included in the code.
You would need to link to the plugin docs so i can check you have provided me with the correct function for the slider.
If its a premium slider, you would need to send me a copy if you want the code tested.

How do I get the slider to you? I'll send it right over.
