    I've just started using the News Pro theme on https://cricketyorkshire.com and having problems getting the 'Featured Tabs' widget to work in the Home Top widget area.

    I've chosen categories, featured image and configured as the 'Get Help' section advises but it doesn't appear at all.

    Any suggestions I can try would be appreciated. Thanks!

    This is a little tricky. The plugin sets the tabs with absolute positioning in CSS. For absolute positioning to work correctly, the parent element must be set to position: relative; in CSS, otherwise the element with position: absolute; positions itself to the next object up the chain that is set to position: relative;

    In you case the parent element for the tabs is .home-top .widget-wrap. There's no CSS for this element in your style sheet so the tabs are positioning themselves under the menu.

    The .home-top .widget-wrap element also has no height dimension, so even if the position is set correctly, the tabs would remain invisible because they are being fit into a space that is 0px tall.

    To fix this, you have to add some CSS to your style sheet. You can add it anywhere above the @media queries.

    .home-top .widget-wrap {
        position: relative;
        height: 84px;
    }

    This will at least get you started. You'll have to adjust the rest of the CSS to your liking.

    Thanks for explaining that Victor. The Featured Tabs plugin is by Studiopress to accompany the News Pro theme so would it be that it's not working because of a clash with one of my plugins?

    Can I place the CSS you kindly provided in the 'Additional CSS' theme customiser? If not, I'll explore changing the stylesheet.

    It could be a plugin conflict.

    Yes, you can place it the additional CSS area.

    Hi Victor, thanks for your comments. It was a plugin conflict that partly resolved it with some CSS to then finish the job.
