News Pro: How can I replace genesis_header_right with an actual banner?

Greetings all,

In News Pro I would like to replace the header right widget with an actual banner, rather than a widget. I'm using the theme in a multisite and don't want users to change it, thus I want to replace the widget area with a hard-coded banner. I guess the standard way would be to remove_action and then add_action with my own function, which would be the banner. However, it appears the hook uses do_action, so remove action doesn't work. I guess what I need to know is how to remove a do_action so I can replace it with my own do_action, assuming I'm even on the right track. 🙂

Try adding this in functions.php:

//* Remove the header right widget area
unregister_sidebar( 'header-right' );

Then hook a function to "genesis_header_right" having the HTML to display your desired banner.
