    Working on a site and can't get the background for the header to go full width

    http://thercreguy.com/

    Background header image is here http://thercreguy.com/img/rcreguyheader.jpg

    pulling it via:

    .site-header {
    background-image: url('http://thercreguy.com/img/rcreguyheader.jpg');
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    background-size: contain;
    }

    Any Ideas?

    Remove the background-size: contain and add a width. Change the width of the image itself from 1040px to 1140px. This will allow the header right widget area to appear "over it".

    Well - almost fixed it! 🙁
    Looked at it on the phone and the header now does not size properly at all. (Way too big!)

    You need to add that area to your media queries/responsive design area. And you may have to reduce the side of the image for it to show up properly.
