News Pro Footer Widget Area

The News Pro theme comes with 6 widget areas in the footer. How can I change that to just 3?

open the functions.php from Theme Editor and find this line

add_theme_support( 'genesis-footer-widgets', 6 );

Now change the value from 6 to 3

Also i think that you need to modify the CSS little bit for better design

Thanks. That did remove the other 3 widget areas. Now I am tweaking the CSS and trying to get the sizes to expand. Not much luck yet.
