    Since democracychronicles.com began using News Pro Theme, images are uploaded at 740x400 as the instructions and example website suggest. I have a problem where images are resized for the front page to unwanted dimensions and slowing my front page.

    My current setup seems to help. It's possibly all solved and just time to run the plugin "regenerate thumbnails". I wanted to check with you before using it at all as I understand it makes new image sizes for all my thousands of images.

    My current setup has this added to function.php file:

    //* Add new image sizes
    add_image_size( 'home-middle', 348, 180, TRUE );
    add_image_size( 'home-top', 740, 400, TRUE );

    Wordpress Setting is 0 x 0 for both medium and large image size but thumbnails is 150 x 150. Box is checked to "Crop thumbnail to exact dimensions". Added to Jetpack CSS Stylesheet Editor (only Home Page is to solve this problem and the other sections are unrelated but could impact this:

    /* Home Page
    --------------------------------------------- */
    .home-top {
    padding: 0;
    }

    .home-middle-left {
    padding: 0;
    }

    .home-middle-right {
    padding: 0;
    }

    /* Site Containers
    --------------------------------------------- */
    .site-container {
    margin: 10px auto;
    }

    /* Site Header
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- */
    .site-header .wrap {
    padding: 10px 0;
    }

    /* Site Title
    --------------------------------------------- */
    .site-title {
    font-size: 20px;
    }

    This a better link to a list of the "Serve scaled images" problems than what I had linked to about.
