I just switched to Genesis from another theme and I've got something strange happening. On some of the posts the images aren't being resized correctly and I'm not sure why. If you check out this post you'll see when you make the widow smaller (or look at it on an iphone) the images are cut off. http://noahsdad.com/how-to-be-a-good-dad/
However if you look at this post the images show up correctly. http://noahsdad.com/great-aunts-80th-birthday/
The images were inserted the same way in both posts. Can someone please help me fix this?
Thanks.

The container for that image is set at 650px, so the image (which is set to be 100% of it the width of it's container) is going to stay at 650px wide instead of scaling.
July 12, 2013 at 8:12 am #50357rick4himMemberThanks for jumping in, but a lot of my images are like that. How could that image be like that, while others aren't, when they were both inserted into the post the same why? Why do you think Genesis is doing that?
It would take forever to go through 2 years of posts to see what posts images are inserted like that. Any ideas how I can fix it? (Or better yet, why it is doing that?)
Thanks.

July 12, 2013 at 8:18 am #50360el_steeleMemberYes, that is strange. Is there another image on your site that is having the same problem?
July 12, 2013 at 8:28 am #50362rick4himMemberSo I found a clue as to what is happening. It looks like every image where I used a caption is doing that..... I switched form another theme that put a white box around the image....I'd like to get that back.
July 12, 2013 at 8:29 am #50363el_steeleMemberLooks like what is causing the problem is the caption. When adding a caption, WP creates an attachment ID, which sets a fixed width.

Have a great day, and thanks so much for your help.
July 12, 2013 at 8:48 am #50371el_steeleMemberJuly 12, 2013 at 9:18 am #50373rick4himMemberThanks so much, we're trying to help the world see what life is like raising a child with Down syndrome. 🙂
The next big things I need to figure out is
1. How to make my social sharers look better. I'm thinking I'd like to put them under the title, but not sure. I just know that now they look sort of bad.
2. Made the 2 center widget areas on the home page look nice. I'm not sure how to do that since I'm not a designer. It looks like I need to do something with the text on the category name so they are on the same line, then maybe doing something with the titles....not sure, I'm open to any and all advice. 🙂
Thanks again for taking the time to help.
July 12, 2013 at 10:06 am #50385el_steeleMemberI think it's a great project. I'm a part of a community that has a lot of involvement with Down Syndrome. It's a part of life that I'm very unfamiliar with but excited to shed some light on.
My advice is to not spend too much time messing with the picky things like alignment and how the social buttons look — although, when you get some time you should check out Brian Gardner and Nathan Rice's plugin for those. A site like yours is all about the content. Pour your time more into that and tackle the picky things over time.
Well done so far.
July 12, 2013 at 10:22 am #50387rick4himMemberThanks for the kind words on the site, it's been a lot of fun telling his stories.
As far as the content, that's our focus for sure. However, we have a pretty large social community (his facebook page alone is over 45,000) so social is pretty big for us to help us tell the story. (Check out how many social shares this post has ---> http://noahsdad.com/target-down-syndrome/)
As far as the plug in, I saw that one, but that wasn't what I'm trying to do. Those are the social icons. I was talking about the social sharers (where you hit like, etc..)
