    Hello,

    My site is http://www.thebearspage.com

If you click on "Bears Deals" in the nav menu and select a category from the drop down menu my nav menu then disappears so if you want to go back to another page you would have to "know" to click the logo to go to the home page or click the back button. Why would it disappear when viewing pages in my categories can you please help me fix this I need it fixed asap.

    I am using Magazine theme.

I am knew to this and forums so if there is anything else needed please ask....

    Thanks.....

    Hi,

I see what you're describing on your site. At first I thought maybe you the menu was there, but just not visible, but it's not being output at all.

Have you added any custom code to your site? If so, please describe. Also, can you provide a list of plugins running? Maybe one of those is the culprit...

I haven't added any real custom code, changed some colors in the code, and added a couple pieces at the end of the css to change the word from "search" to "fetch" thats all. I have some plugins and the only one I think that could possibly have some connection is I am using "Widgets on pages" to put the drop down category menu on the main "bears deals" page. but the page where that is the menu is ok it is once you select a category does it disappear.

The above link is a forum I saw that someone is having the same issue the problem is I dont have a category.php file to place that code in. If you have a better solution than widgets on pages to display a drop down category on that page I am more than happy to try anything at this point. The problem that I am running into is customers that select a drop down do not know how to get back without clicking the back button... Any other details you need for some help please ask...

    Thanks

    Hey there,
Doesn't sound like your customizations would be causing it. I'd try disabling all of your plugins and see if that fixes it. If so, re-activate the plugins one at a time so you can catch the culprit.

What about using breadcrumbs instead of the drop-down widget? It'll provide the link structure that would help users navigate. You can turn that on at Genesis > Theme Settings.
