I have no idea what is going on with author boxes. my blogs all seem to be pulling in a general one, and the one by the author... here is a link. Can you let me know how to remove the top one? Not sure where it is set

The top author box is a widget in the after-entry widget-area. Go to Appearance/Widgets and delete the widget in that section.
