Modern Portfolio Custom Menu Not Working

Hi,

I have installed the Modern Portfolio child theme and imported the demo content. I have followed the instructions to set up the Header Navigation custom menu and while the links now show in the header, they are aligned as a vertical list to the right of the header text.

I've implemented the other advice from similar posts on this forum but it doesn't seem to work. I am designing locally so cannot provide a link to the site.

Is there anything that could be affecting it? I currently have no plugins installed.

Not seeing it online makes this hard to resolve. It sounds like you don't have enough width specified in your header widget.

Should it now work out of the box so to speak? I haven't made any changes to the header width; can you advise some changes to try to test if that is the problem?

Yes, the themes should work out of the box. I recommend putting a test version of your site online. That would make it much easier for people to see a front-end scenario of your problem and provide a quick solution.

Unfortunately I am unable to at the moment as I am in the process of switching the live site to a WP setup. I will disable the menu for the time being and then come back once the site is live.

If this is still relevant, and if you haven't done so already, try updating your genesis framework install to the latest version (i.e., 1.9.1). I had the same problem you described above, and updating the framework fixed it for me.

Yes I have now updated as well and this did indeed solve the problem.
