Missing blogname in title using Yoast SEO on multisite

I have just moved from a single site to a multisite set-up of WordPress (wife's blog) in order to manage 2 languages, the main/primary site being one language and the subsite another language.
On changing to multisite all the titles have lost the blog name in the title and only show the post title name (without the separator)
Posts are set to force rewrite as [%%title%% %%page%% %%sep%% %%sitename%%]
I select force rewrite in the SEO plugin and nothing changes. Clearing cache etc does nothing
If I deactivate all plugins nothing changes
If I switch to Genesis minimum theme nothing changes
If I switch to a WordPress twenty'something' theme the titles appear properly

Any ideas?
I'm using Dynamik on Genesis but the Genesis Minimum doesn't solve this but switching to a non Genesis theme does. I was thinking about using a hook to replace the title via Dynamik but just seems weird that any Genesis theme creates this issue.
