Hi there! I just started using the Minimum theme. I followed the instructions on how to put in the social media icon circles, but they are not showing up. I also followed the instructions on putting on swapping out the demo image with one of my own...but the demo image didn't show up to begin with, and my image isn't showing up. What might I be doing wrong in order to cause these to not show up? The URL is: http://www.evolveyogafitness.com/newsite/
Thank you so much,
Stefani

<a class="icon-pinterest"><href="http://pinterest.com/stefanilharris/></a>
<h4>Pinterest</h4>
Pin me.What (if anything) needs to go between the <a> brackets? So sorry if this is a silly question. Thank you!

You put a closed ">" after icon-pinterest"
Should be:
<
a
class
=
"icon-pinterest"
href
=
"http://www.pinterest.com/stefanilharris"
></
a
>
<
h4
>Pinterest</

Pin me.

May 29, 2013 at 7:15 am #43046StefaniMemberThanks for your responses. This is too strange. When I look in the widgets, there are no extra characters. I even just cut and paste them (all four widgets) into my text editor...then put them back in there. And still nothing. Are you still seeing those extra characters? Thank you!
May 29, 2013 at 7:17 am #43047StefaniMemberI also tried to put a photo in the slider area and followed the directions exactly...and nothing is showing up.
May 29, 2013 at 2:54 pm #43124digitgirl2MemberHi Stefani,
You removed the social media widgets, so I cannot tell you what went wrong.
For the image: Navigate to your theme files using FTP or your webhost control panel.
Find /wp-content/themes/minimum/images/sample.jpg
Replace this image with your own image, named the same. The image size is 1600 x 600. Feel free to use any size you wish. Plus, it's not a slider image but 1 static image. Are you trying to use the Genesis slider plugin?

May 30, 2013 at 7:21 am #43181StefaniMemberHi there! OK, this is just too weird! I am looking at the widgets right now, and they're all there.
This is exactly how I see them in each widget:
<a class="icon-facebook"> <href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/EVOLVE-yoga-fitness/204624986274929?ref=hl></a>
<h4>Facebook</h4>
Like me.<a class="icon-google"><href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/EVOLVE-yoga-fitness/204624986274929?ref=hl></a>
<h4>Google</h4>
Circle me.<a class="icon-pinterest" href="http://pinterest.com/stefanilharris/></a>
<h4>Pinterest</h4>
Pin me.<a class="icon-pinterest" href="www.linkedin.com/pub/stefani-harris/31/357/882/>Testing</a>
<h4>Linked In</h4>
Link me.As for the image on the home page, I saved a photo as sample.jpg and uploaded it via FTP exactly where you suggested (and where the tutorial said to put it), and it isn't showing up.
For the widgets, I copied and pasted each chunk of code into textedit on my computer, an then pasted them back in the widgets to make sure all was ok. But, still nothing.
Should I try deactivating and reactivating the theme?? Thank you!
May 30, 2013 at 8:44 am #43198digitgirl2MemberHello,
Well I don't see the icon circles on your home page. Strange. Maybe your site is cached.
In home featured 1, you should have text widget added to it as:
<a class="icon-facebook" href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/EVOLVE-yoga-fitness/204624986274929?ref=hl"></a>
<h4>Facebook</h4>
Like me.Home featured 2: text widget with
<a class="icon-google" href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/EVOLVE-yoga-fitness/204624986274929?ref=hl"></a>
<h4>Google</h4>
Circle me.Home featured 3:
<a class="icon-pinterest" href="http://pinterest.com/stefanilharris/"></a>
<h4>Pinterest</h4>
Pin me.Home featured 4:
<a class="icon-pinterest" href="www.linkedin.com/pub/stefani-harris/31/357/882/">Testing</a>
<h4>Linked In</h4>
Link me.This should work.
As far as the home image. I do not see the sample.jpg image when viewing your code. Without having access to your wordpress and ftp account it's hard to to tell what is happening. If you want to pm, with your info or email me, I can look further for you.
Thanks,
Robin
