    Hi all,

With regards to the Portfolio feature in Minimum Pro, I want to sub-divide each one of the portfolio items on the portfolio “home page” (main portfolio page you arrive at when you click on the “view my portfolio” button)

Is there a way to make each one of the portfolio items on the portfolio main page, be a like a category, where when that would be clicked it would go to a collection of other portfolio items related to that portfolio “category” and then each of those items can be clicked to see the further details of that portfolio item?

    Thanks,

    Tom

    Hi Brad,

Once you click on the "view my portfolio" button, which this button is on the front page as well as other pages, it then goes to the portfolio page that has all the portfolio items, each of which are clickable to take you to that item's page.
You can see that here - http://my.studiopress.com/themes/minimum/#demo-full (click on the "view my portfolio" button on this page)

I want each of those clickable items on that main portfolio page to be a category that goes off to a new page that is essentially another "main" portfolio page t hat would show all of the portfolio images that are related to the particular category that was originally clicked on. For example the "Antarctica" image would be a category item that when clicked would produce another page that has a bunch images related to Antarctica.

    Thanks,

    Tom

Its a good idea and i'm sure it can be done with custom coding.

Haven't done this before but i have created a page which lists all categories

You could create a portfolio style gallery of images for each category archive, each image in the grid linking to a portfolio style category archive page or custom taxonomy type archive page for each category or taxonomy you add to your custom post type.
