    I have been using MAMP to work on my website, now that I am done I need to migrate the website to the internet (HostGator). I had assumed this would be easy, after three hours of reading various ways to do this I am really regretting using MAMP at all. The process is complex and full of potential errors. Going forward I'll not be using MAMP again, it really is not something I need.

    Is there a favourite go-to plugin to migrate my website from localhost to the internet? What is the easiest way to get this done id not with a plugin?

    UpdraftPlus with the migration add-on. I've had flawless migrations with it.

    Thanks Victor! I did exactly as you advised and will update the results later in the day when I tackle the actual migration.

    I was able to move my entire website from MAMP by using UpdraftPlus and the Migration add-on as suggested by Victor. This three part video series on YouTube really made my initial failed attempts successful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0JS9mh0zO8

    Another vote for Updraft Plus, an excellent plugin. Developer support is prompt and very helpful as well.
