    I want the hover color of my simple social media icons to match the header color (the orange-ish one) What's the best way to do this and what is the color code?

    You can change the hover color by going to WordPress admin >> Appearance >> Widgets >> Header Widget >> Simple Social Icons.
    check the field for "Hover color" and enter this color code : #f96e5b
