    Hi all,

Just a friendly question. I use the Metro Theme and would like to know how I can make Category "page" posts archive or look like the "Home-Bottom" featured story widget on the home page ( see http://demo.studiopress.com/metro/).

I like the smaller condensed look with the featured images on the left of the text.

Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated,

    melissa

    Hi,

I was just about to ask the same question before purchasing this theme.

I would also like to know if it's possible to display the category archive with a small thumbnail to the left of each listing, along with a text except, as seen on the homepage.

    Thanks

I use this theme on my own site so i can help you. What exactly do you need done?

You'll find the settings to display different thumbnail sizes and excerpt/content length in the Genesis > Theme Settings > Content Archives

You mean like this but with a smaller amount of content? http://demo.studiopress.com/metro/category/category-1/

    Hi Brad,

Many thanks for your reply 🙂

What I am looking to do is have the category page show us with posts that look like the Metro home page - bottom "featured story" box.

With posts that not only have the small thumbnail to the left, but also have the headline aligned to the right of the thumbnail with small text.

Just drag a Featured Post widget into that area, set the Featured Image to display to the left. The only show the Title and set it to Content Limit with the number of characters you want.

    Hi Anitac,

Many thanks for your time and support, I was referring to "category" pages (your suggestion works for the home page... no?)

    Hi Melissa

You'd need some custom coding to make that happen.

Hi Brad, thank you for the info 🙂

Would you know if it is a big coding job? I am a beginner, I know basic coding but perhaps this sort of thing is best left to an expert?
