    I am building a site with the Metro theme. When I upload my header it must be 87 x 1080I would like a deeper header. Maybe 180 px's but when I upload  my header from the admin panel, I have to crop it to  87 px's

    Could anyone advise how to accomplish this? Thanks.

    Deeper as in taller?

    Edit the functions.php of your child theme and look for this code around line 31:

    // Add support for custom header
    add_theme_support( 'genesis-custom-header', array(
    'flex-height' => true,
    'height' => 87,
    'width' => 1080
    ) );

    The occurrence of that '87' is awfully coincidental, don't you think? Change to suit your taste.
