    I've looked through the forum posts here and tried adding the following suggestions to my child's home.php file, but neither of these 2 options work - the sidebar remains on the homepage:

    add_filter( 'genesis_pre_get_option_site_layout', '__genesis_return_full_width_content' );

    add_filter( 'genesis_pre_get_option_site_layout', 'child_do_layout' );
    function child_do_layout( $opt ) {
        $opt = 'full-width-content'; // You can change this to any Genesis layout
        return $opt;
    }

    I also don't want to use a CSS display: none; option on elements. Any ideas how to resolve this issue? I'm using the old Metro theme - it that matters.

    I figured it out. Had to change the

    add_filter( 'genesis_pre_get_option_site_layout', '__genesis_return_content_sidebar' );

    line in home.php to:

    add_filter( 'genesis_pre_get_option_site_layout', '__genesis_return_full_width_content' );
