    Hi,

    I'm digging the theme, but have run into a couple of issues and am hoping some kind soul can give me a nudge in the right direction...

    I used the Genesis Simple Hooks plugin + the code snippet from the plugins page to change the footer credits for my site, but am having an issue with the placement of the changes.  Even though I've unhooked the original, my new credits are showing under the last of my homepage widgets and the original credits are still there.   You can see what I'm talking about here:  http://practicalbliss.com

    I read through another thread where someone was having the same issue, but it suggested CSS changes to remove the area altogether and that's not what I want to do.  I've used Simple Hooks to do this a dozen times, so not sure what the snag is.

    My 2nd issue is with the spacing of my category archive links when using the Genesis Featured Posts widget.  They're sitting right on top of the widget titles below as you can see in the Home Top widget section of my homepage.  I've tried a couple of CSS tweaks, but can't figure how to get a little bottom padding going.

    Any ideas?

    You can use the the Genesis Simple Edits plugin to remove the shortcodes for the default footer credits and also add the new HTML there as well.

    Or add it using the Genesis Simple hooks plugin.

    Another option is to add it using a custom code in your child themes functions.php file.

    Create the HTML for your footer links in your WordPress editor, align it and copy it from your text editor then paste it between these div tags in the code.

    Backup your child themes functions.php file first.

    Thanks for suggesting the Simple Edits plugin, Brad.  It worked like a charm!

    What would you do for the padding issue with the Featured Post widget category archive links?  The link, "More posts from this category" is just sitting right up on top of the widget titles and looks a mess...

    Thanks again for the help!

    .home .more-from-category {
    padding-bottom: 20px;
    }

    Change the value for the padding to suit.

    I used Firebug to inspect this element and grabbed the class for this element which i used as the selector and .home for the home page with some basic padding.

    Add the code in your child theme's style.css file at the bottom.

    Thanks for the input on this Brad... I've been looking for a solution to this and it sounds like your suggestion is the best one.  I would like to do the same as well on this site...

    Can you please post the code I need to insert in the stylesheet to add bottom padding in the LATEST VIDEO section?  I've looked in firebug but don't have enough experience to identify the correct class and coding, as the ones I've attempted do not work.

    Thanks in advance for your help!
