I tried to use firebug, but still couldn't figure out how to change the blue background color in the Metric Theme on the homepage.

Access your style.css file and locate the following codes, you will need to eather remove the bg.png and replace it with your own, or just add the BG color in it's place.
```
body {
	background: #002838 url(images/bg.png) repeat-x;
	color: #444444;
	font-size: 12px;
	font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Verdana;
	margin: 0 auto 0;
	padding: 0;
	line-height: 20px;
	}
```
