Working with a tech person on Executive Pro and did not realize that responsiveness would be a problem.
On the header, we are using an image instead of text next to the menu. This looks fine in most screens but doesn't work on some. On my own screen (I am using an iMac with Chrome) the menu doesn't line up with the logo. We made some adjustments so the rest of the page would look okay.

    (1) Can we use a jpg or gif image in the header, in the area next to the menu? It also doesn't work on the blog.
I took a screen shot since it will be different on some browsers:

This may be related to other adjustments in the code on other widgets because the menu looks fine on my other site:

    (2) In general are there some extra steps to be taken when customizing on responsive themes? Seems naive now but neither I nor my tech person nor other people we asked brought it up! When I sent in a support ticket, they refer to CSS media queries - is this something esoteric or pretty straightforward? Is there a place to look this up?

    Thanks in advance!

Well, the easy answer is that your image on the cathygoodwin.com site is much bigger than the image on your midlifecareerstategy.com site, and the DIV has a bigger max-width, too.

Hence, that is pushing the menu down.

Working with a tech person on Executive Pro...

Umm... what kind of "tech person" are you working with???

If you have a front-end problem, you should be working with someone who knows front end development (html and CSS).

I am not trying to be rude, but that would be a pretty obvious issue to someone familiar with CSS (unless I am missing your whole point... I have been known to be wrong before).
