I want to show a specific post in the primary sidebar. To accomplish this I used Gensis featured post widget. I set the number of posts to show to 1, unchecked exclude sticky post and made the post I wanted to show there as sticky.

But when a new post is added to that category, the required post is replaced with the new one.

Is there a way to get this done, one way or other? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

If you want a particular post to always display on the sidebar, use the Genesis Featured Page Advanced plugin. You can select the Post you want with it's featured image. This way it will not change when you add new posts.
