Hi there, as the topic title states: Magazine Pro

I would like to add full width widget section above the footer section

but now would like to know if I can simply duplicate the code shown when wanting to apply to the Magazine Pro theme which is not full width

So you want to add just one full width widget area? The blog post you referenced is actually mine!

You will need to add your styling based on the content you use.

Thanks Anita, will try that and provide feedback, will be a couple of days

Ideally, I would like to add a full width widget area above the footer area widgets, and then I would then be able to add a 4 separate widgets into that widget area. I hope this makes sense 🙂

That will work for you. If you want to add 4 widgets in there, you'll need to custom code the CSS based on the widgets you use. If you are unfamiliar with how to create the widget areas, then you can use Genesis Widget Column Classes for those. I recommend that quite often.

Hi Anita, I have added the new widget area with success (thank you) and added the column classes widget and I am able to use it

however, ideally I would like for the widget to be inline with the footer below and not full width
