I have gone over the tutorial for the Luscious Theme (if that is what you call it..lol) http://my.studiopress.com/setup/luscious-theme/
This does not show us how to setup the theme as the demo site at all.. can someone pls add to the tutorial..
It does not tell us how to set up the footer properly.. or the side bar properly...
Can you the developer do a tutorial on the exact setup of the theme at least that they have as the demo...

February 17, 2013 at 10:51 am #20819SusanModerator@kimber9826 - if you are having trouble setting up your site to look like the demo, you can go ahead and submit a support ticket.
But, in the meantime:
Primary Sidebar:
Text widget for the "About me"
For the e-mail sign-up, I recommend the e-News extended plug-in
For recent posts, drag the "Latest posts" widget into the sidebar
Footer: Add the following widgets into the footer areas:
- Recent Comments
- Calendar
- Text
- Text (populated with html linking to your social media)

February 17, 2013 at 1:41 pm #20862kimber9826Memberwhy do we have to submit a support ticket for help with our themes? Why can't we just post in the forums the way we did back in the old days.. ?? we have to wait 48hrs for a answer and sometimes its not even the right answer..
How do we request the builder of the theme to actually write a 'DETAILED' Tutorial as it already states, but clearly does not..
February 17, 2013 at 1:58 pm #20864AnitaKeymaster@kimber9826, I am not sure how familiar you are with WordPress, but what you are asking isn't really "theme specific." With any theme you purchase or download from the repository - they only provide details on things that may be more complicated. What you are asking about is just merely dragging the appropriately name widgets to the appropriately named widget areas?
If you want to set up the site like the demo.. with the actual content - you would do it like any other Studiopress/Genesis Framework theme. You need to import the Demo Content which is in the XML file provided with the theme.
Go to Tools > Import and select the WordPress Importer tool.
Then, browse to your themes folder on your desktop and locate the XML file.
Import the content and leave everything as it is - bring in the posts under whatever name it says - and not your own. The reason for this is so it's easier to REMOVE the demo content when you are ready. But basically, all you do is drag the widgets where you want them.

February 17, 2013 at 2:33 pm #20874kimber9826MemberYes it theme specific.. Here is an example..
This theme provides exact details of how the demo page was set up - http://www.eightcrazydesigns.net/forums/topic/examples-of-how-the-homepage-widgets-are-configured/
Easy to follow instructions..
Unfortunately this this has half a page of very unclear instructions - http://my.studiopress.com/setup/luscious-theme/
I am also not asking about the drag and drop feature..
February 17, 2013 at 2:45 pm #20878AnitaKeymasterNo, technically it's not because ALL THEMES work this way and not just Luscious. That's great that she gave you a "visual" but she gave you a visual of "dragging and dropping" the appropriate widgets into the appropriate widget areas which is "how WordPress" itself works. This isn't theme specific. Anyway, good luck ... I'll unsubscribe and let someone else chime in here.

February 17, 2013 at 4:02 pm #20888SusanModeratorYou don't *have* to submit a ticket - you can ask for help on the forum; you just need to be aware that the forum is *staffed* for the most part by volunteers such as myself. We can help you with most questions, but we can't help you in terms of answering why the tutorials aren't as specific as you ink they should be.
I hope that my first response will point you in the right direction 🙂
