    So I had an older studiopress theme called Amped installed at http://www.jonasgarvin.com. I experimented and added the newest streamline these. Upgraded the genesis to the latest version while I was in there. Decided to go back to Amped. Now that I switched it back, his old logo is not showing. I don't even remember how logos were added in this older theme. I don't see a header or logo option. I think it's in the css, which I haven't touched. But now it just shows in text the site's title and tagline. How can I get his old logo back? It was an animated gif we created.

    Thanks!

    Okay, first go to your Genesis theme settings and look to see whether the logo is set to dynamic text or image logo. If it's not already, set it as image logo and save the settings. With any luck, that will bring it back.

    If that doesn't work, I was able to get it back by doing the following:

    Open the theme's style.css and find this:

    #title-area {
    width: 440px;
    float: left;
    margin: 0;
    padding: 20px 0 0 0;
    overflow: hidden;
    }

    Replace it with this:

    #title-area {
    width: 440px;
    float: left;
    margin: 0;
    padding: 20px 0 0 0;
    overflow: hidden;
    height: 187px;
    background: url(http://www.jonasgarvin.com/wp-content/themes/amped/images/logo.gif) no-repeat;
    }

    Then add the following on a line by itself after that:

    #title, #description {
    display: none
    }

    Thanks! I think the problem is I don't see a "show logo" or text in the genesis settings. I'm in there now and did a page search for "logo" and it didn't come up. I haven't used an older theme like this and now it's foreign to me. I might be in the wrong place. Looking again. Thanks

    It was minimized... I didn't even know things could be minimized in the genesis area 🙂
