I am building from the Genesis Magazine child theme. Here is the site:  http://www.commercialwebpage.com.

I want to insert a logo on top of the existing header image where the text "COMMERCIALWEBPAGE" appears, while leaving the text "Arizona Commercial Real Estate & Property Management" as actual text in the header.

It's not as simple as using the header image insertion, due to various alignment issues. I want to retain the subtext for the search engines.

You need to re-size the default header size to your logo size. Go into functions.php, look for Custom Header and you will see sizes. Change the size to your logo and save. Then go to Appearance > Header and insert your your logo. Now keep in mind you may have to adjust your Header spacing in #Header of your CSS.

Thanks for this idea. The header design concept I have in mind does not involve any adjustments to the header height.

    See this: http://commercialwebpage.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/cwp-header-design-concept.jpg

Although there are a few adjustments I need to make to the graphic design elements, this is essentially the concept. I would like to simply code-in the graphic element above the actual text.

    Thanks for your efforts!
