I just moved a site from a development subdirectory to the root directory to make it live, and the Custom CSS file got wiped for some reason.

Where is the location of Customize > Additional CSS file in the Metro Pro theme? I can't find it in the theme or wp-content directory? I have backups of all of this but have no idea where to look.

@webmonkey it's stored in the database. Go to that database. Go to wp_posts, then look for custom_css under the column post type. It's stored there.

Once you get that code reconfigured, then install this Customizer Export Import plugin - https://wordpress.org/plugins/customizer-export-import/. You can download as a backup.

I save all Additional CSS in private Gists on Github too.

Thanks so much, Anita, that did the trick. I was able to restore just the databases from a pre-move Updraft Pro backup. Everything is back to normal. Many thanks.
