    I am wondering if there is a way to limit the post title characters on a page template? I am using my localhost so I am not able to provide a link but the code is this:

    `<?php
    /*
    Template Name: News and Events
    */

    /** Force the full width layout layout on the Portfolio page */
    add_filter( 'genesis_pre_get_option_site_layout', 'serendipity_portfolio_layout' );
    function serendipity_portfolio_layout( $opt ) {
    return 'content-sidebar';
    }

    /** Remove the standard loop */
    remove_action( 'genesis_loop', 'genesis_do_loop' );

    /** Add the Portfolio widget area */
    add_action( 'genesis_loop', 'serendipity_porfolio_widget' );
    function serendipity_porfolio_widget() {
    dynamic_sidebar( 'portfolio' );
    }

    genesis();`

    In the widget itself I am going to be using the Genesis Featured Post Widget but for everything to line up correctly on the page I need to limit the post titles. Any help would (link or even the code) would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Have you considered the Genesis Featured Widget Amplified plugin? That allows you to limit the number of characters which appear on the post title within the widget itself, rather than on the post page?

    Thanks Susan! I never knew you could control the post titles via this plugin. Worked perfectly!
